For our final projets, we swapped products with a random student. Using only their Copy Platform, we created elements of their campaign.
I was given the Copy Platform of a Canon camera that shoots in both manual and digital at the same time. This product would eliviate the need for hauling around multiple cameras and extra bulky equiptment. Photographers will be granted more freedom to capture the perfect shot and options of distribution, without cutting down on quality.
Though I have almost zero knowledge of high quality cameras, I focused on the Copy Platform's direction to speak to a male demographic between ages 35-45 with a college degree and annual income of $70,000-$120,000. I tried to speak to the targeted consumer's appeal to minimalism, travel, and new technology.

This is an example of a possible way to capture the attention of consumers outside of the target.My mock blog post featured on Buzzfeed positions the same product with a different perspective. In this case, the readers will likely have similiar interest in travel / exploration, but for a different purpose. The post will speak to women in their 20's who have an interest in photography, but may not be on a professional level yet. They are social and seek new experiences that they would want to capture to look back on years from now.
With the use of transparent language, the post could still speak to the Canon MD's features and benefits in a subtle way that will not disrupt the reader.
